A New Vision

“2009 was a time to renew our goals and continue to grow”

In 2009, a new group of volunteers took over the organization and created a new Board of Directors to revamp and restructure the services being rendered in the community.

Little did they know, the needs in the Hispanic community were outgrowing their services. As they worked on restructuring the organization, these volunteers start to realize that, in order to provide all that was needed, ALAS must become independent.

The Board of Directors envisioned a new dream: to have a space of their own where they could expand their services.
